DESCRIPTION

Two artists (Patrick Mills and David Clayton) were sealed in the walls of the College of DAAP for 24 hours. Their actions and sounds were played back live on two monitors at the end of a dark, narrow, 25 yard tunnel. Viewers/participants squeezed through the tunnel, traveling on their hands and knees. A flashlight was provided for navigation and safety. Many visitors attempted to turn it on when they were confronted with darkness only to find that it did not work.

STATEMENT

This project forced the creation of new realities for viewers/participants and artists.
